To survive the challenges from week to week, they must prove their abilities in front of the tough-love judges. In the pre-heat -- the first of two rounds -- the bakers are tasked with creating pastries, cookies or small cakes based on the episode's theme. The winner of the round gets an advantage moving into the main heat, which involves making a larger confection. The winner then moves on to the next episode with the possibility of winning a cash prize and being crowned Holiday Baking Champion at the end.Cast
